ویژگی های ظاهری: رنگ بدن همانند آگامای قفقازی است. زمانی که بر روی  صخره ها هستند، سر، سطح شکمی و بخش ابتدایی دم به رنگ کرم روشن تا زرد دیده می شوند. اما زمانی که مخفی می شوند بدن به رنگ خاکستری یک دست دیده می شود. معمولاً اختلاف رنگی زیادی بین این گونه و آگامای قفقازی دیده نمی شود. نقوش زرد رنگی بر روی گلوی حیوان دیده میشود. دم به بند های مشخصی تقسیم شده و هر بند از دوحلقه پولک تشکیل شده. پولک های درشتی در ناحیه پهلوها دیده می شوند(گاه این پولک ها وجود ندارند). نرها و ماده ها به ترتیب دارای 177 تا 235 و 190 تا 259 پولک دور قسمت میانی خود هستند. طول پوزه تا مخرج 160 و طول دم 185 میلی متر است.

تشخیص: سر و بدن نسبت به آگامای قفقازی پرس شده است و غدهای پینه ای متراکم در هردو جنس نر و ماده حضور دارد.

پراکنش جهانی:ایران ، افغانستان و غرب پاکستان و جنوب ترکمنستان.

زادآوری:این گونه تخم گذار است.

عادات و رفتار: در ساعات گرم روز فعالیت می کند. معمولاً روی سنگها، صخره ها، برآمدگی ها یا دیواره های صخره ای می نشیند و هنگام احساس خطر در زیر سنگ و یا شکاف صخره ها پنهان می شود.
