مشخصات: فلسهای قسمت میانی بدن بیش از 150 عدد است. فلسهای خاردار در پهلو ها مشاهده نمی شود. دم به صورت چند بخش، که هر بخش دارای 2 تا 4 حلقه است. رنگ خاکستری متمایل به قهوه ای با خالهی تیره در سرتاسر بدن.

 

پراکندگی جهانی: ایران پاکستان و هند.

زادآوری: این گونه تخم گذار است.

اندازه: اندازه بدن بزرگ، فلس ها پوشیده از برآمدگی های خار مانند که در ناحیه سر به شدت کاهش می یابد. دارای دم بلند،

 

عادات و رفتار: در گرمترین ساعات روز فعالیت می کنند. اغلب در بلندترین مکان نظیر روی صخره‌ها، بر آمدگی‌ها طوری می نشینند که تا محدوده زیادی را برای یافتن شکار زیر نظر داشته باشند. رژیم گوشتخواری و گیاه خواری دارند، از حشرات و لارو آنها، عنکبوتیان و نیز دیگر مهره دارانی که بتوانند آنها را شکار کنند و از پای در آورند تغذیه می کنند. اکثراً در همان محلی که به عنوان مخفیگاه انتخاب می کنند، مثل زیر سنگهای بزرگ، شکاف صخره‌ها و دیوارها، حفره‌ها و سنگ چینها تخم گذاری می کنند. ممکن است تعداد زیادی تخم مربوط به چندین آگاما در یک جا دیده شود.
