  • ویژگی‌های ظاهری: سطح پشتی قهوهای روشن، طوسی روشن تا تیره به همراه خالهای نامنظم است که کم و بیش در ردیفهای طولی یا عرضی آرایش یافتهاند. پاها دارای نقوش عرضی تیره رنگی هستند. سطح شکم سفید چرک تا کرم رنگ است. دو لکه کلیه شکل صورتی یا قرمز رنگ با حاشیه ی آبی را میتوان در ناحیه پشت و بین شانه دید. سطح زیرین نوک دم در نرها )دست کم در فصل تولید مثل( قرمز رنگ است. پولکهای بینی توسط 3 تا 5 پولک از هم جدا شدهاند. فاصله بین پولکهای بینی به طور قابل توجهی کمتر از فاصله بین پولکهای بینی و پشت چشمی است. پولکهای پشتی ناهمگنند و پولکهای نوک تیز بزرگی به طور نامنظم در میان پولکهای کوچکتر دیده میشود. فاقد پولکهای شانهای در طرفین سر و گردن است. یک و یا هر دوسمت انگشت چهارم پا شانه دار است. سوراخ بینی از نمای پهلو دیده نمیشود. پولکهای ناحیه پس سر فاقد هر گونه زواید تاج مانندند. یک چین پوستی مشخص عرضی در امتداد پشت گردن وجود دارد. طول پوزه تا مخرج 57 و طول دم 70 میلیمتر است.
  • پراکنش جهانی: ایران، ارمنستان، قزاقستان، روسیه، ترکمنستان، ازبکستان، قرقیزستان، تاجیکستان، ترکیه، عراق، چین و مغولستان.
  • زادآوری: این گونه تخمگذار است و تا 10 تخم (معمولا 2 تا 7 ) میگذارد. عاداتورفتار: این گونه روز فعال است. نرها اغلب دم را به طرف باال حلقه میکنند تا رنگ قرمز زیر نوک دم را نمایش دهند، که ممکن است برای جلب کردن مادهها و یا هشدار به نرهای دیگر باشد.
