مشخصات: فاقد چین پوستی در گوشه دهان؛ فلسهای پشتی یکنواخت، صاف تا اندکی تیغه دار؛ فاقد فلسهای گسترش یلفته در امتداد پهلوها، اطراف سر و گردن بدون فلسهای ریشه ای (دندانه ای) شکل پیش آمده؛ فاقد ریشه‌های فلسی (فلسهای دندانه ای) بر حاشیه عقبی ران و اطراف قاعده دم؛ فاقد فلسهای متورم بالا آمده بر روی پشت؛ فلسهای بینی در تماس با هم یا توسط یک ردیف پولک از هم جدا شده اند؛ دم 106 تا 125 درصد به اندازه بدن ( از نوک پوزه تا مخرج)؛ سطح شکمی دم با نوارهای تیره عرضی نا مشخص، یا نوک دم کاملاً سیاه یا خاکستری.
رنگ آمیزی: ناحیه پشت مشبک با آثار روشن و تیره؛ سطح رویی اندامهای حرکتی کم و بیش مانند پشت بدن؛ سطح شکمی بدن سفید کرم؛ سطح فوقانی دم همچون پشت بدن با آثاری از نوارهای ضعیف سفید، زیر دم مایل به سفید یا گاهی حنایی روشن، یک سوم انتهای دم سیاه.
 

زیستگاه: اطلاع چندانی در مورد زیستگاه این گونه در ایران در دسترس نیست، اما اکثراً نواحی دشتی روی تپه‌ها و خاکریزهای دارای ماسه بادیهای ریز، توده‌های شنی متحرک همراه با پوشش گیاهی بسیار اندک گزارش شده است.
 

عادات و رفتار: هنگام روز به فعالیت می پردازند؛ از مورچه‌ها، قاب بالها، و دیگر حشرات تغذیه می کنند.
 

پراکندگی جهانی: ایران، عربستان سعودی، امارات متحده عربی، عمان، عراق. نمونه تیپ در استان حضرت موت عربستان برای مشاهده پراکنش به SMID et al. 2014 مراجعه کنید.

 

اندازه: نوک پوزه تا مخرج 57 میلیمتر دم 70 میلیمتر.
